Built in 1837 by Qudsia Begum, the gold spikes crowning the squat minarets of the Jama Masjid Mosque, glint serenely above the bazaar below. It houses three bulbous cupolas, but the main feature of the Jama Masjid is its interior decorations and architectural work. The mosque is ornately adorned with a chain of alabaster-white columned arches and the internal sanctum of the mosque is carved out of the marble.
